At this point...

Anybody can beat anybody.

Florida was probably a better matchup for the Zags.

SC went 2-6 down the stretch and wasn't even receiving top 25 votes, 64 team single elimination tourney still the worst way to decide a champion.

That will be a good game. I hope we have a UK/USC championship game. Would cause ESPN and CBS to melt.

You do realize that South Carolina beat Baylor and that Dookie team that beat UNC TWICE.

I think it is the best way to determine a champion in all of sports. You get each teams best.

You think college football is better? Where most bowl games are as lackluster as any event in sports?

The regular season is a grind to get to this point to be able to play for the big prize.

Also, I'd assume you must calculate at how horrible those rankings truly were, right? Obviously, Duke and Baylor weren't worthy of their rankings.

I honestly think 64 teams is too many.

It's the most entertaining, certainly, but you're gonna tell me a teAm that finished 4th in their own conference is the 1st-4th best team in the entire country? Hell no.

Matchups like these are why refs have to step in sometimes and help teams like Duke, Kentucky, etc. Nobody wants to see this crap except their respective fans.

What about Villanova? Lost in round of 32 due to the committee being terrible and putting Wisky as a 8 seed. The seeding is absolutely terrible for this tournament. Oregon got bumped to a 3 for a player getting hurt, Villanova had to play Wisconsin who should have been a 5, not an 8. Kentucky almost got screwed against Wichita st, who was ridiculously underseeded. A 30 game season isn't exactly a small sample size. Baylor made the sweet 16, and they were ranked around that, so not applicable to put them there.

Exactly. It's the most entertaining sporting event of the year, but it's a horrible way to determine a champion. Most of the teams in the tournament have no business competing for a title. That uconn team that won the title a few years back was the equivalent of an unranked team winning the college football national championship.

You have 64 teams with the same chance to compete for a title but in NCAAf you have 4?

Make the football playoff 16 teams if you want to be equal

I'm not sure why you're writing all that.
It's not even debatable. Fun? Yes. But not designed to determine the best team.

_________ will beat gonzaga. No way will they'll beat a legit power 5 school. They're not gonna make it past the Sweet 16. This sounds so familiar.

These two teams matching up in a huge football stadium for the biggest game of their lives? Expect a very low scoring game.
