It looks like a bad day for Dan Hicks at NBC. He leads their golf coverage and calls Notre Dame games. Makes sense that Tirico would take those gigs.

He has done several prime time games and does alot of 2:30 games. He was also the lead guy on CBS before Uncle Verne took over. He's more than capable.

It missed the beginning of the clip, but I gather McDonough, who was talking about the Yankee game, mentioned it was Wednesday Night Baseball, and Boone follows it up about it being a day game.
