I didn’t know anything about this guy - until I stumbled onto an old game on YouTube - funny we don’t hear much about guys like this - probably because it doesn’t follow the narrative of everyone was racist in America - seems like a great guys and a great story

He’s the TV advertising pitchman for Seven Cedars Casino on the Olympic Peninsula. I see him occasionally at UW events. I still need to have him sign my Sports Illustrated with him on the cover.

Really. Kenny Washington, Jackie Robinson & Woody Strode were starters in the UCLA backfield in the 1930's. Integrated teams were really no big deal in most of America ( even if they were just tolerated) outside of the South where integration went against everything Southerners believed in.

I stumbled across that name on YouTube in the same manner as you 2 months ago. I never heard of him before that. Apparently, he was a standout QB for Washington a long time ago. And then became a TV analyst for Prime Ticket Northwest and FSN Northwest. I never got those channels. So I never heard of him before. Regardless, he might be my favorite name ever.
