This years Michigan team is just like all other Harbaugh teams, good but just not good enough. I put him in a tier with Petrino, beats who he's supposed to, loses the big games that matter.

I agree this year was a year of "what could have been", but 2 years is a small sample size.
People don't realize just how bad our 2013 and 2014 OL class turned out to be.
We don't have the talent on offense to win big games yet. Tonight showed that.

I've said all along that Harbaugh is a borderline top 10 coach. In terms of ability, he's up there with the best but in terms of what he's actually accomplished, how can anybody rank him ahead of Bob Stoops who's won his conference 10x or a Jimbo Fisher who's done nothing but win big since he's been at Florida State?

He took over a 5-7 team staring at 10 years in the wilderness and has brought us back to contention.
Name me a single place he has been where he hasn't rapidly brought them back.
Stanford was the worst FBS team and within 3 years he had them beating USC by 30 in the colliseum
This god damn forum thinks that if you inherit a 2-10 team and go 11-2 the next year, you have failed if there is nothing on the trophy case.
If a trophy isn't a requirement for a playoff spot, it shouldn't be a requirement to judge a season.

I bet that when Harbaugh came to town, 80% of Michigan fans would have been happy with a couple of 10-3 seasons to start, especially with stopgap measures at QB those first two years. The problem is that I think a couple of 7-5s might be coming. Nobody is going to be on Saban and Meyer's level, with the exception of the occasional Clemson. Michigan fans better be fine with 10-3 football. And as has been said ad nauseum in the thread, who cares how rich boosters spend their money? Michigan can't find anybody better than what they have. I do think Harbaugh will be gone in a year or two as he won't want to continue to build things back up and deal with begging 18 year olds to come to town.
