Trade a 4rd rounder to Titans for Mett.
Sit behind Romo for 1-2yrs

Why not trade someone to TN in exchange for Mettenberger? As good as that O-Line is, he'd be a much better option...
Doesn't help that Mett is practically a statue back there.

Bokyin is going to surprise people. He's a,real qb, accurate and has a cannon. And for only his second year at qb has excellent mechanics.
I feel like I've seen this movie before....

quote:In all seriousness while watching the Cowboys I was thinking if they're just going to hand it off 70 percent of the time, throw it to the running back 10 percent of time, throw to the tight end 10 percent of the time, and throw it down field 10 percent of the time, then Mallett is actually not a bad choice. Mallett sucks but he can throw the ball to Dmac and Witten faster than anybody in the league and he can throw a couple bombs to Dez Bryant wayyy better than Cassel. I was pretty amazed how awful Cassel was. You could have plugged in quarterbacks straight out of college yesterday that could have ran that offense. Cassel was basically playing the role of Jordan Jefferson.
Ryan Mallett.

A good O-Line and people to throw to negates that. Doesn't even remotely have that at TN

I hope that the Cowboys draft either Sundfeld or Wentz in 3rd 4th round and the franchise will be in good QB hands for the future.

He won't be able to do that gimmicky shite in the NFL. He should become a receiver.

Other than the Patriots I'm struggling to remember a playoff team that stayed a playoff team after losing their starting quarterback. Isn't this just the risk of a quarterback centric league? You sink a lot of money and team resources into his performance and if it goes to shite you're in real trouble.

The Patriots weren't a playoff team when Brady got hurt.

You're right. They missed the playoffs in 08 with 11 wins. The point of the post wasn't really about that tho - that would have been the exception.

Weak QB crop this year. I'm not buying Boykin or Goff in the NFL.
