Sucks for everyone involved and all of you Laker fans, but with aging players and a superstar's contract expiring, what will happen this upcoming offseason for the Lakers?

Kobe is likely to be back, but next season may be his last.

Will Nash retire, or finish out the contract after an injury filled year?

Will Dwight leave in FA, or stay to be the future of the Lakers?

Will Gasol be shopped for better pieces, potentially to build around Dwight?

Resign Dwight is #1. He and Kobe seem to be getting along lately. Continued development of Earl Clark. Jordan Hill returns. Mwp does whatever mwp does. Gasol is traded. Nash devolves into a shooting guard and we continue to suck at the pg position I guess. Oh yeah forgot Dantoni is fired.

Sorry, didn't even think to search. Tired, fricked up my tricep muscle, probably just pulled, but I took some of that crazy medicine.

and why do the Hawks wants Gasol when they have two 1st round picks and 40 mil in cap space to use? Hawks will reject the Gasol offer

Pau probably ends up in Minnesota for some of their wing players and picks. Not sure who else really has a need/want for him considering his age. He's perfect for Minnesota though.

Dwight will resign in LA. He wants the big market, and they can offer more money than anyone else. He won't extend though for the same reason Deron Williams didn't extend while under contract with the Nets.

This would have to rank #1 as the biggest disappointment in American Sports history, right?

They were, what, at worst the 3rd best favorite to win it all before the season started?

In the NFL, teams expected to be good miss the playoffs due to the small sample size in the season, but in basketball, that NEVER happens.

I definitely hope they make it though. I'd much prefer seeing them play the OKC or SA in round 1 than utah.

Gasol gives them a low post scoring option, keeps em in playoff contention if Josh leaves, and he has a large expiring deal, so they could go into the 2014 free agency market (which is better than 2013's) with enough to snag a max type player.

and fyi, I think the money they have in cap space this summer will be closer to 30 mil than 40.

artest will back out of his option and sign a 3 year 12m deal, which will save them money and the amesty

pau will either get traded or amnestied

clark will be resigned
