Come on, man. The Ben Simmons is going to fail narrative is out of control

I just listed that he has proven not to be much of a team player and unwilling to work hard at crunch time. Just stating facts based upon this past year.

Because there's a big difference between playing one year in college at a horrible basketball program like LSU then it is fulfilling your lifelong dream of playing in the NBA for millions of dollars. I'm pretty sure Ben Simmons gets that. Not sure how you don't understand that though.

Simmons is a great talent physically and in many areas of skill, but realistically given his mentality and lack of passion that he showed I foresee his ceiling being a Lamar Odom clone in so many ways.

He will never be the alpha on a team that wins z championship. Again, it isn't about his potential but by what he has shown as a player to date, his motivation/personality, and lack of leadership.

Character is character. It doesn't hide. Sorry you don't see that. Take you blinders off for just a minute.

I would go with Hield if you are trading a big for a guard. Simmons is an on ballplayer, and needs people who can catch and shoot to held spread teams out. Buddy Hield is one of the best shooters in the draft, and I think Simmons being able to go to the basket or kick it out to Hield will be a great combo.

LSU gave him a year's worth of education and he gave them ticket, concession and apparel revenue.

Who do you think came out ahead?

What? He opted out after one year to make millions of dollars.

You would do different?

LSU of course
If it wasn't obvious, I was focusing on your statement that he took advantage of LSU.

Yes I do. Everyone thinks this guy will be like Magic or something.... No way... No how.... Especially in Philly. He has ZERO outside shot. ZERO. He may be able to crest but has nobody to pass it to.
