No one doubted julio was great. The question was whether 3 #1's is too much.
I said at the time i would not do it.
Guys get injured.
Julio misses games.
Chris weber for penny and two other #1s. W's should have stayed pat. The weber contract was so stupid. Worst ever compounded trade error.
The w's snooker mnpls into paying them 3 #1's for the olympic power forward who IMMEDIATELY got career_injured.
Nice for atl that it worked out so far. I would never do it. 3 good #1's is a sure thing. I am never making that bet even though the player you move up to get is (upon later reflection) julio, montana or mj.
I remember seeing jack sikma vs a decent corzine in college when corzine had a complete team around him and illinois wesleyan made a game if it. Sikma was d-2. Sikma was better. Sikma has a ring. I would have picked sikma #1 overall. I would not have dealt three #1s to get him instead of the depaul front line, all decent nba players.

I guess if you have a chance to get a trascendent player "you" pull the trigger..
Injuries, drugs, guns, women, dogs. Who guessed that petrinos nfl career would be ended by dog fighting?
I am too conservative. Julio has missed enough games already that i am reinforced in my position.

What?They didnt trade 3 #1's.They swapped #1's in '11 and traded their #1 in '12.
They also threw in a #2 and two #4's

Let's not act like Belechick is some WR draft guru. In addition to Chad Jackson, he also drafted guys like Bethel Johnson, Aaron Dobson, and PK Sam

Lol. You completely missed what he said, he's talking about the picks not the player.
Draft picks are insanely valuable because you get cost controlled players. The entire time they had Julio at a discount, they were unable to put together a championship team, and the teams they did have always had huge glaring weaknesses.
Now Julio isn't cheap, but a better scouting department has filled the holes.

He missed games in '13 with with a broken foot other than that he had 3 seasons with no games missed
He missed 1 or 2 games the other season.z
He's the best WR in FB and changes the entire defensive scheme for opponents.

He was right. Love having Julio, but that cost us a shite ton. Almost got PaperBoy fired last year too, if not for DQ saving his arse.

BS...the reason Dimitroff almost got canned is because he drafed so poorly before DQ arrived.
And look where Clevland ended up with those picks.

Ok an extra 1, & a 2, a 4 and another 4 and move up.
Looks good now. Thanks for the info.
