I do not think this is on point or true. Sterling isn't in trouble because of a belief.

And I don't think

is in the cards or appropriate.

I've been watching all this unfold through last night, and this whole thing has really hit me hard. But today seeing things like what

Really? So if players display racism in a game, it is fine to you? You do not see the double standard there?

My post is meant to serve as a tongue-in-cheek stab at the whole situation. It is ridiculous in my opinion and there is clearly a double standard being allowed here. In the end, either you are against racism, or you are only against it when non-blacks use it against blacks. Clearly, from the behavior of the league, the latter seems to be the case.

But you are right that some idiot on the other extreme make use this as a ridiculous reason to do something stupid.

You are comparing apples to oranges. I do not condone a racist remark, even if a player makes it during the game--in the heat of the moment. I'm not saying the NBA can't impose a punishment for that, but banned for life would be Draconian-out of proportion.

Several players did not use it in the heat of the moment, and even then, heat of the moment is not an excuse. According to people on here, you are either racist or you are not. If you use racist language, you are racist according to many, so either the extreme is you are harshly punished, or Silver needs to rescind the punishment on Sterling.

I am fine with him keeping the punishment and taking out all these idiot players that are racist like KG. Again, what's good for the goose is good for the gander.
