Should Sumlin and Texas A&M take some of the blame for Manziel's antics?

Should Sumlin amd the Aggies football program in general take some responsibility for Manziel turning into the kind of person he has? When Manziel was still at College Station, maybe there was still a chance to fix him and the coaches could have played a bigger role in mentoring. Obviously now it's just too late.

No. Johnny and Johnny's parents are at fault.

In this scenario Sumlin is the older mother ordering all those pizzas on 600 Pound Life

Johnny's friends deserve blame too.
no one recognized that sudden fame could impact him negatively.
But his parents should get most of the blame too.

No. You can say he didn't help his situation as he clearly enabled him. Mommy n daddy get the blame. Hell his Grandpa should even take some heat. He stills gives JFF a damn allowance ...smfh

they should take all of the blame. this is the new America where no one is accountable for their own actions; it is always someone's elses fault.

Johnny's dad should have tore his arse up more often. How is this asshat even relevant anymore?

Should Les Miles take responsibility for Jamarcus Russell getting hooked on purple drank and squandering his oppurtunity?

If I went to A&M, I'd kill myself, so I see Manziel as a hero who defied the odds.

Since it's at a school you don't like, absolutely.

Then shouldn't no one but Johnny take the blame?

Everybody pointing fingers have never met the mental illness of adduction. Its overwhelming and something outside factors can't fix without personal want. Hope Johnny gets better.

Sumlin absolutely. If he had benched his arse then maybe he would have learned that in order to play ball he has rules to follow, instead they enabled him and let him play every game. In so doing, it taught him that talent was more important than attitude and discipline. Now he doesn't even understand why no NFL teams want him because he thinks talent is all that should matter.
Sumlin learned his lesson then and punished Murray, but after you let Johnny run wild, no one is going to be okay with being disciplined and thus you have the disater with recruits at A&M. This is why it's so important to establish strong rules from day one. Once players see preferential treatment for certain players, you lose contol of the team.

He tried to do that with his newest midget and look what happened.
