Teams like Houston, Memphis, Temple, and Navy could beat pretty much anyone this year. UCF, East Carolina, and Tulsa can certainly compete too.

Plus, it's a pretty damn good conference from top to bottom:

East:
Temple
South Florida
Cincy
UConn
East Carolina
UCF

West:Houston
Navy
Memphis
Tulsa
Tulane
SMU

Yeah, rearranging conferences based on one year at a time is a fantastic idea.

sometimes a league has a year where multiple teams have some talent that they don't usually get or a collection of coaching talent they don't usually get....then the coaches move on and the schools get new coaches and new players and they go back to being mediocre.

If we were talking about taking away a BCS bid from the Big East after teams like Miami left, then why would we give the AAC power conference status based on a season or two of success from top to bottom?

Every time I see you've started another thread, I think to myself "Self, mizzoukills couldn't possibly post a thread more dumb than his previous", and every time I am amazed that you have in fact posted a more dumb thread.

Congrats on constantly out-sucking yourself.

true power conferences have teams that are "the team" for their states... only one can argue that and it's UConn

Two of those conferences "biggish win" was the national championship. Don't be obtuse.

and UCF kicked the shite out of Baylor when they played in the Fiesta Bowl.

does that mean the Big 12 shouldn't be a P5?

yes

If they go to an 8-team playoff, then there should be 6 auto-bids and 2 wildcards.

AAC has a ton of big, big universities. It kind of fits.

Drop Tulane, add Boise and we'll consider it.

And then you use a flash in the pan win from two years ago as an argument.

What? Until they cratered this year UCF has been consistently solid under O'Leary. A bit up and down but certainly not a flash in the pan team.

I guess we may as well not ever consider Baylor for the playoff since they are flash in the pan too ehh?
