Out of curiosity, why does it keep happening to Adam Jones? Does it happen more often to him or is he just vocal about it? I love how the guy plays the game. It's a fricking shame.

I think he is more vocal about it. The shite fans say to athletes are insane. People think that athletes aren't human and they are their little pawns. I just feel like Jones doesn't block it out and responds to it, which fuels the fans even more

The Irish were never taking to black people when they got here and looks like it stuck in Boston.

While real Irish people in todays society are incredible nice.

It was a hockey series a few years back, and a black hockey player,(don't remember who) scored the goal that put the Bruins out of the playoffs.

Their fans went crazy throwing the N word around on social media.

No they wonder why they can't get a prominent black athlete to come there in free agency. That city is trash

The Red Sox and or the MLB needs to the right thing and ban that fan for life. Not worth the trouble, and they have to protect the player. This would go for any player of any ethnicity.

Literally they can't afford to have their league turn into European soccer leagues, which usually ups the ante with bigotry displayed in the crowd.

I've heard a few Boston callers on national radio this morning, and most seem to acknowledge the issue.

I still find it funny how the celtics have to trade for or draft good players or target certain "guys"
In free agency to come there. It's like the big elephant in the room

Did it help that Al horford is dominican because big Papi is dominican too ?

From my experience, Boston doesn't really hide their racial issues. They wear it as a badge of honor It is weird to me the national media lets them get away with it for the most part

Holy shite?! He did?! When I'm actually sadly amused by this. Bet was Jackie Robinson day. Sounds like sadly hilarious Key and Peele sketch
