Lots of seats remain. At $3500 a pop.

A check online Saturday revealed hundreds — even thousands — of seats still available from Ticketmaster at the T-Mobile arena for the Aug. 26 fight. There are so many open seats that fans with enough room left on their credit cards can buy six tickets together in 162 different spots throughout the arena

Who would want to watch that

The market is rejecting the thousands of dollars they want for a ticket. They'll sell when the prices drop in half or more.
I have no idea why this is a popular fight. It's a professional boxer fighting someone who isn't a professional boxer using strict boxing rules. It's a joke.

Maybe because its a joke of a fight. Hopefully casual fight fans know better.
The tickets I was recently looking for is GGG vc Canelo which is a few weeks after the mayweather circus. That one is already sold out.

What's surprising?
The fight is stupid, the ticket prices are insane...and you can see the fight 100X better at home for 1/10th of the price.
Why do people even go to boxing matches, nosebleed to use binoculars of two guys clinching in 20 foot by 16 foot small box?

With the 4 day Press Tour, I've seen all I need to see.

i'd go if i was balling out of control. it won't be an amazing fight, but i would go for the clown show.

You know what I would watch? A fight where even rounds were just boxing and the odd rounds were kick boxing rules? And the last round was MMA.
I still think FM would win but it would be interesting. And put pressure on FM to KO CM before they got to the last round.

As long as he knocked out McGregor before the last round.
There isn't a boxer only alive that can survive the ground, they all suck shite at it, even with 6 months training. I mean they are worse on the ground by far than wrestlers are at boxing.

I don't give one shite if it's a pro vs a non pro. Like many people, I only care about entertainment. I've lost count at the number of pro fights that can put you to sleep. I don't understand how people don't understand that.

Went to the cruiserweight title fight of Uriah Grant and Adolpho Johnson. Twenty rows back, it was badass.

That's the problem.
If McGregor went Thunderlips on Mayweather, that would be entertaining. But we know the contract is airtight on preventing that, if he wants to be paid.
If Mayweather said to himself, "This clown has no business being in the ring with me so I'm going to celebrate win #50 in style and straight up whoop his arse!" and actually goes for the KO, that may be entertaining but I don't see Mayweather taking the 1% risk and changing his style just for the people that already gave him their money.
So, what we'll likely be left with is Mayweather-Pac 2017, only the stats will read McGregor landing 2% of his shots if he's lucky this time.

Why are you surprised by this? I ain't. It's a farce and anyone dumb enough to buy tickets or the PPV need to lose their money
