Ryen signed with the ringer to do a weekly podcast with them. Considering Simmons’ history with ESPN, I guess the contract rumor for ESPN isn’t happening now?

He said on the Bill Simmons podcast that he's doing a football (NCAA and NFL) podcast for The Ringer every Tuesday, he's going to be on the Bill Simmons podcast talking NBA every Monday (after the football season ends), and he's going to be doing something for ESPN, too. He hasn't said what exactly he's doing with ESPN yet, but there were rumors of some TV work. I wouldn't be surprised if he's a weekly contributor to The Jump, as it's filmed in LA and the NBA is his forte.

Woj & Katie Nolan have been featured on Simmons main podcast while working at ESPN. I don't view this as a conflict of interest at all for ESPN or Ryen. Especially since ESPN seems to want him to do more on set commentary

Oh I mean he’s had ESPN personalities on his show, the ones you mentioned, Jalen, Van Pelt, Zach Lowe but none that worked for him. Ryen podcast will do numbers for the ringer. I guess as long as he’s doing an ESPN one as well, they are good with it? I know you’re right and they want him to do some tv stuff, I just don’t know about the long term sustainability of being employed by both. I def could be wrong though.

Nobody is on weekly but the Simmons/ESPN beef is pretty much over. Basically everybody he ever did stuff with at ESPN has been on a Ringer pod and he's been on Lowe's pod a few times.

I am admittly a big fan and have been listening to russillo in some form for like 8 year now.
Svp and russillo was the best sports radio show out there.
They also both love LSU and college football as a whole. Very few national sports talk shows mixed in college football like they did.
More russillo specifically, he avoid the takie political stuff that everyone hates espn for. When he did bring it up it was at least thoughtful instead of just fire everyone.

I completely agree. He's fine, but I have not once ever sought out anything the guy had been involved in. If his show just happened to be on, I'd listen, but I never said "damn that Ryen Rusillo shown is on... Cancel my lunch plans!"
This guy is no comparison to the Boston morning show personalities on WEEI, aka the best in the business.
