Tanny is just trying emulate Brady's nice guy but secretly a super douche factor.

Except the fact the other players love him and even his harshest critics respect his game.

It's amazing what winning will do for your perception.

FWIW, i'm not saying either guy is good or bad in this scenario, i'm more speaking generally. But I am saying that 2 guys can do/say the same exact thing, but if one guy has rings, we'll make every excuse to defend it.

I've noticed that aTm fans don't come rushing to the defense of Tannehill the way Auburn fans come to defend the honor of Cam.

What gives?

Mostly because Cam is pretty undeniably a nice human being

I'm just defending Brady in this scenario. People sometimes say idiotic things, and it has to be the most annoying things in the world if a practice player who knows the play call alters how the snap was played.

I get while Wildcat and I are interested in Brady, we're fans (short for fanatics), the question I have is why are you? It's obvious you are not a "fan" of Brady, so why does he occupy so much real-estate in your head?

I will never understand why Tannehill is playing in the NFL. Let alone how he got a second contract. Good to see Miami hitch themselves to this sinking ship. He will hold them back for over a decade.

And now we're going overboard in the other direction.

Philbin told the practice squad players to take it easy on Tannehill to not affect the young quarterback’s confidence.

Meanwhile, Suh robs the franchise blind and gives zero effort.

But in general, the context here definitely matters. It could be in jest, it could be like you said in response to guys jawing at him, or he could just really be an a-hole.

I bet it is some practice squad hero going 110% during a pre-game walk-thru

There are certainly major questions about the guy as a starting QB but okay

The fickle nature of sports and how quickly perception can change is amazing.

Before the season it was nothing but talk about how he may turn the corner to become a really good QB. 4 games later, he shouldn't be playing in the NFL and/or question marks over whether he should be a starter.

FWIW, I don't think there's a legit question about whether he can be a starter, the obvious answer is yes.

I think he's in the Ryan Fitzpatrick class of guys who are really good backups or mediocre to below average starters.

He did look much better last year and that's why he got the deal but he's looked like dog shite so far this season.
