NBA has become a statistic dick measuring contest

LeBron's 2008-2009 season shits all over Harden this year, and is still superior to Westbrook.
31.7 PER, 20.3 WS, .318 WS/48, 11.6 VORP, 13.0 Box +/- - James

It is a terrible article for all kinds of reasons, but Harden ahead of Westbrook and both of them at the top is preposterous.

Slack my dude. You need a stats 101 class at your local university. We'd almost be Willing to pay for half to not have to read your misguided posts.

I'd pay in full to not have to read your posts.

You're of the opinion Harden's season is better than LeBron's in 2008-09?

It's a what have you done for me lately league. Lebron team massive underachievers in this season.

Fair, but I'm talking about 2008-2009 LeBron.

He's comparing Harden's current season to a previous season for LeBron.

Lebron team
Won the last title
Lebron shouldn't win the MVP (he's still the best player though) but at calling out Lebron and his team for "what have you done for me lately" when Hardens team has never and will never do anything

Hakeem in 92-93 deservedly lost out to Charles Barkley. Barkley than led his team to the NBA finals only to lose to MJ after Jordan turned in one of the greatest finals performances ever. Can't be a top ten season all time for Hakeem

They need to change the article title to "modern" NBA seasons. Guys back in the day put up monster numbers. For instance..
Oscar Robertson (61-62): 30.8ppg, 12.5rpg, 11.4apg
That wouldn't crack the top 10? Wilt had a season where averaged over 50ppg and 25rpg. That would have to be in there somewhere. Basketball didn't start in the early 80's.
That season by Barkley was the greatest season I've ever seen a player have to this day. He just took a team on his back and destroyed everybody. Sheer force of will..

Same way Wilt's 1961-62 season seems to get relegated because of a lack of a title in that season. Which is unfair.
He averaged 50.4 points for the entire season and 26 rebounds.
(the second-highest scoring averaged in NBA history by a player not named Chamberlain was Elgin Baylor's 38.3 in the same year. That makes Wilt's number 31.6 percent higher than Jordan.)
At home on Dec. 8, his numbers were a staggering 78 points and 43 rebounds against the Lakers, breaking the single-game scoring record then held by Elgin Baylor (71).
In a home game against the Chicago Packers on Jan. 13, he put up 73 points and 36 rebounds against Rookie of the Year and eventual Hall of Famer Walt Bellamy.
Then he scored 100 points.
On the night of Feb. 2, 1968 as the single best game of Wilt's career. He scored 25 points, grabbed 22 rebounds and dealt out 21 assists for the only double triple-double in NBA history.
Chamberlain's 4,029 regular-season points in 1962 made him the only player to break the 4,000-point barrier; the only other player to break the 3,000-point barrier is Michael Jordan, with 3,041 points in the 1986–87 NBA season.
Averaged 50 pts against Bill Russell and the Celtics in 62 Playoffs.
He lost in 7 games to the Celtics by a last second shot...against a Celtics team Cousy and Russell called the "best ever."

Jordan shooting 54% and scoring over 31 boggles my mind.
