Your 2016-2017 MVP Rustle Goatbrook has spoken! This has been the most incredible season to watch in any of our lifetimes. And i dont think we will ever see someone break this record of triple doubles, nor avg a triple double during a season again. We are all lucky to be alive during this time and get to witness history like this. Simply amazing, Thank you Westbrook

He'll probably do it again next year.

I doubt his team would be willing to sacrifice running a real offense again. I assume they will aim to be an actually good team next year, causing his numbers to fall off some.

No doubt this would have been said prior to this season. It will probably happen again. When is anyone's guess though.

Yep as long as they are employing the eh.. strategies.. that they are this year I don't see why he wouldn't be able to do it next year. The year after. Etc.
Congrats Russell.
Congrats Russell.

If they get better players, he'll be better but with lesser counting stats, and you'll point to that as proof, when in reality, it'll just be because he has better players around him to lessen the load for him.
If they keep this same team, he'll likely challenge for another triple double next season.

Has the MVP become more important than the NBA title?

Okie will have to buy a commemorative flat bill!

or even seeing young players take another step in their development. 3 rookies are getting major playing time this season. plus Kanter, Oladipo, Adams are all very young

That shot has just solidified it

Yeah... he's gonna win the MVP.

No nuggy. It's a regular season award. Regular season isn't meaningful TBH unless you are pulling for your guy to take home some of these awards.

Based on what I am seeing, its like, who cares about the playoffs, the regular season Most Valuable Offensive Player is all that matters

just saw the video of his 10th assist from the back of the play. The entire crowd on the baseline had their phone out for it. just a crazy image
