Dallas owner Jerry Jones has slowed down, if not impeded, contract negotiations aimed at extension for Roger Goodell, per @mortreport and me

I hate Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys, but this I can get behind.

It makes sense. The league showing signs of illness. They should get Tagliabue to come back as interim Commissioner.

jerry grandstanding

the Owners love goodell, if you hear anything different, it's BS spewd to moronic media members who eat it up.

He's made them hand over fist money, its why they offered him that asinine contract extension. And they love how he takes all the heat over league shite, while owners get to stay squeaky clean.

He's an enforcer to NFLPA, so owners don't have to take the bad PR. When the players threateneed to strike recently, Roger took all the heat for owners, as he became the heel for them. And he played the NFLPA for fools.

I disagree.

The NFL needs to make sure every stadium has four trans bathrooms on each level/section.

Also, instead of dealing with players kneeling for the anthem, The anthem should be removed from a pregame tradition.

And investigation of players conduct off the field should be handled by a secretive group within the NFL organization. Not local authorities.

These are the thoughts that I believe Goodell has each day.

The only thing Jerry Jones has done that I agree with.

I'd buy a damn cowboys hat if he does this.

I'll give it to someone but I'd buy it.

Just read an article about this. Claim isn't that Jones is trying to stop Goodell from re-signing. He is trying to restructure the contract to have a lower base salary and be based more on incentives.

Jerry Jones is THE owner of all the owners. If any one of them can make shite happen, it's Jones.

He really hasn't. He's been the commissioner while they've made money, that does not mean he made them money that any other commish couldn't have done.

It pisses me off that Jones is using this as leverage due to Zeke case.

Yeah, he's such a hero. Completely silent for Bountygate, Ray Rice and Tom Brady. Now it's happening to him and he's a victim.

If Joe Mixon got the suspension instead, would he be so outraged?

He did and they know it.. Hes been the league head on extremely lucrative tv contracts, he's expanded the footprint globally and nationally, he's led negotiations on a extremely owner friendly labor agreement all the while keeping the heat off the owners.. I may hate the man but in no way will I deny his success.

Is there any world where Roger Goodell is worth $44 million/yr? Maybe the SJW crowd should protest that,

Nope. You assume that. Kraft has more influence than Jones. You don't understand how old money works.

If he pulls this off, I'll change my mind about him being in the Hall of Fame.
