Well said by Rory. They're not at the US Open because they're a bunch of hacks looking to have a good time. It's a tournament for the best golfers in the world. It's always been known to reward accuracy and mental toughness. That's why a bunch of people will be watching and winner will get a shite load of cash.. If Kevin wants to go home and play a four man scramble with amateurs then nobody is stopping him.

Can't hold this against Rory. I don't think he was excluding himself from his own remark. I think what he was saying is "this is a Major, we are collectively the best golfers in the world, don't be a bitch (looking at you Na)"

Seems to me since Rory won the PGA, he hasn't really done much of anything to deserve #2 ranking. Am I totally wrong here?

Depends on how much you value winning the FedEx cup. He played really good down the stretch last year. Not so much this year, mainly do to injuries.

Don't know that he should be #2, but the OWGR doesn't turn over as much...until he starts collapsing consistently, he'll stay top 3 or 4 in the OWGR.

You forgot that it was also his first tournament back from injury
