I don't follow the NFL that closely. What's Gordon's Madden rating. I want to get a sense of how good he is.

Josh Norman has to be one of the more overrated CBs in recent history.

I guess shutting down other teams' #1 options just isn't really appreciated these days.

Don't be dumb. He's in the top 40 receiving in the NFL's history. Ahead of Keyshawn, Andre Rison, Shannon Sharpe and Wes Welker, among many other studs.

Odell was smoking him all day. Had he caught that long TD it would have been an entirely different story.

I believe Odell had more penalty yards than receiving yards when guarded by Norman.

Smoking him?

Norman's interview after the game was all psychobabble so I can understand why they can't understand him when he's yelling.

He actually had Finnegan on him for a lot of the day. Finnegan must have taught Norman well.

If Beckham catches the td pass after torching Norman and then giants win after he caught that pass against Norman the narrative is totally different.

That was a touchdown. Bad call. Malcom got beat there.

Lulz.

Glad to see Malcom get some respect on here besides from me finally though. Me and box had a war on opening weekend about him.

How would you rate this:

Marcus C Jimmerson – ?@MarcusJimmerson
Josh Norman has held DeAndre Hopkins, Mike Evans, TY Hilton Dez and Julio Jones to 150 yards 0 TDs combined. #DMVP

I could poke holes in that argument. The Texans don't a have good QB(frick the guy isn't even on the team anymore), Jameis played them in like what.. his second game ever? Was Evans even active for that game? Dude had a ankle problem I think at the beginning of the season.

TY had Luck at the helm and Luck wasn't all there.

not even going to comment on a rusty Romo who also got hurt again in the same game.

Julio and ATL had no shot the other day b/c their offense is in a FUNK.

I mean its not just not an open and shut case.

didn't exactly shut down Cooks.

Cooks had a step on Norman both times at the end of the game when they played but a neither pass was the best pass.

Norman is overrated.

cut and dry.

:coco2:

5 games against 5 pro bowl wide receivers, none of them have a td against them and they've collectively had 150 yards on him. Yeah that guy is overrated. Hell Thugdell only had 5 catches for 26 yards on Norman yesterday and the td catch he got away with a bit of a push off too.

You can argue that Odell's numbers are artificially inflated by 1. the outrageous number of targets he has had and 2. the fact that the Giants are usually playing from behind and facing vanilla coverages so it makes it easier for beckham to rack up hollow yards and 3. He operated generally in the slot so he's on a team's second or third corner more than their top coverage guy.

Beckham has played two less games than a guy like Mike Evans yet has had 30 more passes thrown his way, not to much he's has had much more screen passes as well which also increases his reception total. Dude is the most overrated player in the league. And he has a chinese food haircut. And a 5 year old girl's attitude.

again, look at the scenario i laid out for you.

it isn't an open and shut case.

quit being a homer.

okay, so he isn't overrated, but at least acknowledge that the above tweet wasn't totally accurate.

He's easily the most overrated player in NFL history with 182 catches, 2701 yards receiving, and 25 tds in his first 26 games as a professional. Most overated, best, only...something like that.

If they had meh games maybe, but you can't really poke holes in 150 yards combined imo.

In what case? Saying he's not the most overrated CB ever? Yea, I think we can shut that case down now.
