The best mid-range game is no mid-range game

I don't understand how that's not the most obvious thing in the world. Why would people do it any differently than that shooting chart?

Mostly Personnel. Also a commitment to that style of play from ownership to management to coaching to the players. All 4 have to be on the same page.

I'm sure that's the excuse, but just from a basic logic standpoint, Mid-Long Range 2s, irrespective of personnel, are dumb AF. I'm not a basketball guru, outside of my Zags, but there is zero reason for Boogie Cousins to be taking multiple Long 2s a game.

Coaches also bench star players in "foul trouble" and NFL coaches still kick FGs on the 2 yard line though.

Mid-range shots can be alright if you have the personnel that can knock them down. Especially big men. Spurs are shooting more mid-range shots than ever and have the 2nd highest net rating in the league. Just depends on your guys and the pace you want to play.

I respect the Rockets for taking advantage of exactly where we are weak after the trade. I never expected us to win last night, and what I saw from the Pels was encouraging for the future. AD and Cousins looked good together.

That's the plan and obviously sticking to it made a difference. They could probably shoot a little better percentage.

Not sure I agree. The Spurs will have both the better coach and the best player on the court, along with likely home court advantage.

3>2. Unless a team can match HOU 3 PT volume they will have a hard time. Spurs can't. and harden is safely the best player in that series. Did you see kawhi trying to guard him the last time they played? Harden made him look like any other defender for the most part.

Disregarding the rate with which the shots are made, yes.

IDK. Plenty of advanced stats that rate the two pretty closely.

The game where Harden shot sub 40% in a home loss? No, I didn't watch much of it.
