You may want to do a loop. Coming from BR, you could go Cambrian Ridge in Greenville (exit 130 on I-65), an hour up I-65 to Capital Hill/The Judge in Prattville, an hour down I-85 to Grand National in Auburn, an hour north on Hwy 280 to Farm Links in Sylacauga, and finally an hour north to B'ham and Ross Bridge.

The fact that the Fighting Joe, nor the School Master in Muscle Shoals has been mentioned yet, is a travesty.

I've heard they are fantastic courses but they're pretty inconvenient to get to for someone coming from BR .

I've played the one near Dothan many times. Nice course, not great but worth the time if you're in the area.

Took my son and his buddy on a mini-RTJ tour several years ago when they graduated high school.

Grand National - Great course. Tough from the trips. Cannot spray it from the tee at all. Must see stop on the RTJ Trail

The Birmingham area courses - Oxmoor Valley and Ross Bridge - were great. OV was my favorite, but you can't go wrong at either venue. Must see stops on the RTJ Trail.

Silver Lakes - nice course, but honestly don't remember much about it.
