The New England Patriots owner told USA TODAY Sports on Friday that he would support the efforts by Oakland Raiders owner Mark Davis to relocate his franchise to the so-called Sin City if a stadium deal can’t be struck to keep the team in the Bay Area.

"I think it would be good for the NFL,” Kraft told USA TODAY Sports. “I know Mark Davis has tried so hard in Oakland. If they won’t do it … I want to support him.”

That’s a huge statement from one of the NFL’s most influential owners, wo was making his first public comments on the subject.

Multiple owners think this is happening, some are saying 50-75% chance Raiders to Vegas, another said they'd be surprised if it doesn't happen at this point, and now Kraft says this and Jerry Jones already supports... Oh boy.

I hate teams moving, but Oakland isn't even making an effort to keep them.

I think NFL teams should pay for their own stadiums, but since that isn't reality yet, move they shall.

I'm on board as this being the best team to move to Vegas. It just fits like a glove.

I didn't think Davis had much money to pay for a stadium? Damn, Las Vegas Raiders just sounds so wrong.

They've definitely raided some wallets over the years.

+1.

I feel bad for the Oakland fans, but Oakland didn't even submit a plan to keep the Raiders. The city of Oakland does not deserve to keep them.

I wonder how many fans stick with them after another move?

I am going to say >70%. I lurked a couple of raiders message boards after the news broke last month, and a majority of the fans were not that upset with Davis. They wanted them to stay in Oakland obviously, but since that was probably not going to happen Las Vegas was the best of the bad options to quote one Raider fan. It is kinda hard to get pissed off at the team and owner when the city won't even submit a proposal to keep the team or to replace a stadium where the sewage is backing up.

Yeah, I get all that. But I'd rather see them go back to LA over Las Vegas. It would piss me off if my team kept moving every 2 decades, especially if it was another state or market the team has no ties to.

1. The Chargers going to LA because there is very little chance that SD approves their ballot resolution.
2. Vegas just seems like the perfect home for the Raiders.

I never thought the NFL would allow a team in LV.

Looks like I'm wrong.

I don't know where Davis is getting $500M to contribute to new stadium. That sucks 3 teams will have moved in 2 years. Was hoping Raiders would go to LA. Chargers stay in SD. Dunno about Jaguars. Probably 50-50 whether they stay.

Davis is putting in $300m, the NFL is putting in $200m, and The Sands is putting in $150m.

Thought NFL would only contribute money to home market? Where is the rest of the money coming from?

Davis will be able to finance whatever he needs for the stadium.

No, the NFL is giving $200m for this, and gave $300m towards Oakland.

The rest is coming from a 1% tax increase on hotels, so mostly tourists paying for it. It is widely expected to pass voting by a pretty large margin for approval.
