I freaking love this expression. Lets me know who the morons are. So, if he had that killer instinct, I guess he would have shot a 64 yesterday and won right? All he needs is a little killer instinct and he will start dropping low 60's every tournament.

My favorite player is Dubuisson from France. Because he wears a visor like me...

I also like the stoicism. You can't tell whether he's 10 under or 10 over by his facial expression.

Yeah, saying a guy who is in contention all the time but doesn't win often lacks a killer instinct makes me a moron. Good call.

I don't expect Fowler to win every time he's in contention. I think eventually he'll figure out where he needs to push and when he needs to pace, and he'll win with a little bit of regularity.

"Tried to give Rory a little run at the end," Fowler said, "but just got on the gas a little too late."

Fowler's a moron too, yeah?

It has nothing to do with "killer instinct". It has to do with the guy who won being a better golfer. Let me guess, here are your "killer instinct/clutch guys":
Michael Jordan, Tiger, Jack. You know what I call killer instinct? Just being better at the sport. You aren't the media, you dont need to make up some fake cliche

You seem really angry.

Having the understanding/experience/instinct to know how to win against the best in big events is pretty important for elite competitors. It is part of "being a better golfer."

He's got the physical tools now. I hope they'll improve as well, but his mental edge and decision making are likely what will be honed the most as he begins to win big tournaments. I don't really care what anyone calls it, but I also don't know why anyone would get as worked up as you are about it.

hes the same guy who said LBJ wasn't clutch and would NEVER win a title bc of it.... Until he did. Then they change the narrative and say "he's learned how to have a killer instinct..."

Like I said, rickie has a new swing. It's already paying dividends. But it will take time

I don't like the hat but I got over it. Like Rory, Rickie is a class act. I couldnt care less what he wears on his head. If he brings more kids to the game with that hat then so be it. Maybe his attitude and class will rub off on the kids

100% this.

I agree he's a nice guy, and I root for him. But that looks ridiculous.

You realize the difference between him having the killer instinct this weekend in your eyes is Rory. Fowler shot in the 60s everyday. Enough to win all but 3 majors ever. Hell, Rory let the field close the gap on sunday. Killer instinct? Yes, because he won. Makes a lot of sense.
