Here are the teams, their schedules and each's sagaran ranking with the average and median rank below with underlined common opponents and italicized losses:

Bama is clearly the best schedule by this ranking with Stanford second.

You can make a case for UNC over OSU a little easier than I'd thought.

Well it's a little flawed to include the conference championship opponent because the result will impact that ranking. So if USC loses they probably won't have a ranking of 12.

Four loss USC at 12 invalidates this whole pile or steaming crap.

Not sure about that.

USC would be favored over Iowa, for example.

Regardless there are far better measures than sagarin.

Sure. It doesn't prove anything exactly, but it's apples to apples by one computer poll that ranks FBS and FCS. Yes, the rankings will change but not dramatically.

No it doesn't. You don't even know the purpose of those rankings.

Well you seem to making an argument (UNC > OSU) based on that inherently flawed analysis (arithmetic mean is not really valid) based solely on SOS, then proceeded to make it more flawed.

I don't get why SOS alone would be used as an argument, but you could have at least used the SOS that Sagarin has in the rankings. That's at least a defensible metric.

OK, well Ohio State would be favored over everybody. So just put them in.

Doesn't matter what Vegas says. The games are played for a reason. Go by the results and resumes.
