I've got a nice Rawlings Heart of the Hide glove that I used in HS and college that I want to get restored. It needs laces and liner replaced. Should I send it to Rawlings or find a specialty shop online? No one that I know of does this kind of work locally, and I don't have the time to do it myself. Does anyone have any experience with this kind of thing? TIA

This in BR? I'm in north landmass...

ETA: I'm fully expecting to "send it off" to get it worked on.

I've been looking around, just don't know who to go with. Reviews are kind of scarce...

Take it to your local dealer. If he can not do it go to your local HS coach. If that fails find someone online. I would only trust gloves to people I know.

Do you still play baseball/softball?

I do some coaching, and it would be nice to have it back in playing shape. I really just want to get it back in good shape for aesthetic purposes. It's been sitting on my desk at home for a while, and the busted laces are just hard to look at. It's a beautiful glove.

This is the newer version of mine. Basically the same without the "dual core" graphic...

I have no suggestions to offer you. But please update this thread after you get it done and let us know how it worked out. I've got an old Wilson infield glove and catcher's mitt from high school that could use a little love.

Will do. I would think that anyone who was as involved with the game as I was would want to keep their "go-to" glove in good shape. I look at it just like I do some old guns that we have in the family.
