ESPN’s Zach Lowe, on a podcast this week, suggested that there is “mutual interest” between the parties.

quote:

“I know they’re concerned about their point guard position. Dejounte Murray looks good, but he’s not ready yet. “There’s been a lot of rumblings about Chris Paul, and I think that’s real. I think there’s mutual interest there. “I don’t know how real it is given that the Clippers can offer a gigantic amount of money and are also a really good team. And also that the Spurs have no cap flexibility to get there. “I’m very curious about what they do this summer.”

He's already started the process of moving his family back to NOLA.

Considering both Chris Paul's and the Spurs recent history of postseason injuries, it doesn't seem like a good mix.

If he were to leave it's the only place that makes sense

It's the only chance he has of ever getting past the second round. I joked when they got eliminated by the Jazz that he would probably pull a bitch move and try to create another super team.

Chris Paul is about to make the biggest show of his free agency, then just resign with the clips cause he'll make the most money there.

He's on the short list of guys our wino curmudgeon of a coach has never been able to figure out how to defend, so that's a plus to take him away from a conference foe.

He's older, though, and although his game has aged extremely well, we need to continue to get younger, IMO.

Do not want to give up Mills, but there's probably no way we can pay him his market value. Especially considering Pau and Lee probably opt in. So there will be an opening.

Signing him would basically mean Parker is done. Which I've kind of been assuming all along, tbh, but it'd still be a glaring sign.

I don't really like him personally, but we have our designated Demon Deacon roster spot open since Timmy retired, so....

If it gets Boogie in the postseason and CP3 out of the 2nd round neither will care.
