It's cowherds 50th birthday and the guests keep bringing him Colts gear as presents due to his Luck "infatuation"

Really now. If that were the case then you certainly should be able to find evidence to support that claim.

They fricking should be. I remember the offense being the weak link in those great TCU teams when Dalton was there.

The "Cam in MVP conversation" arguments still give me a hearty laugh.

Neither are great QBs.

One of them was drafted on a playoff ready team, and the other was drafted on the worst team in the NFL. That same worst team is already the #2 seed in the NFC after 3 seasons.

You see the signs of greatness in either one of them?

I'm not ready to say that's because of Cam. They've added some nice pieces on defense to get them there.

Because it's not. He's played well this season, but he hasn't been spectacular. The defense, currently a close 2nd in the league (by 0.7 points per game), deserves the credit.

Saying luck is 18-2 in games decided by less than a TD. Has a sturdier frame than Rodgers. Rodgers is under .500 in games decided by less than a TD. Said he would take luck over Rodgers today.
I hate that stat, it's so meaningless.

Why don't you wait until the 49ers more than likely destroy the panthers before you run your mouth.
Great argument!!!

literally what more do you want from a QB who hasn't completed his 3rd full season yet?... rookie passing records... 1st and 2nd year passing records... 3rd year win the division with 4th quarter comebacks.

I'm not saying he's great yet b/c he's not... but he's well on his way.

eta: from cam, not dalton... dalton will never be great.

I don't see greatness in either of them. You're taking that to mean that I think they suck. It's an opinion. Cam will become a very good QB, but he will never be great.

The reason this thread exists is that I've been hearing rumblings from Bengals fans and from talking heads that maybe he Bengals need to move on from Dalton.

I don't think that's the right move, but apparently the thought is out there.

I don't think Dalton is the guy to take them to the SB, but I wouldn't part ways with him. He's good enough to keep his job secure.

Then why not just start a thread discussing that on its own merit, instead of interjecting Cam Newton into it?

I think Dalton can be The Guy, but we're just seeing the normal QB development.

Fans see a phenom come in and light things up and expect all young QBs to be that.
