I was really thinking that the Cards win this one by 2 runs, but Lester had a great outing against the Cards last time...

who wins this one??

Lester or Cardinals' ace, Wainwright?

Here's hoping we have a fairly normal ending. My prediction: The series will be 3-2.

Go Sox

I wonder if Wainwright is going to be like Verlander last year...despite his awesome year, he just didn't have it in the postseason.

Lester was outstanding in Fenway, but it was Fenway. How does this outing in St. Louis go tonight; if he can find a way to win this game, Boston will win in 6.

Had less to do with the venue and more to do with the fact that STL can't hit lefties for shite and hasn't all year.

hmm...could be.

I noticed that Lester was 7-1 (3.09ERA) in Fenway and 8-7 (4.21ERA) on the road.

I think that Boston can get 5 runs tonight off Wainwright if he is fatigued like he looked Game 1. He's been studying his form this week in front of a mirror, so he's worried about his mechanics. Fatigue doesn't always affect his speed and movement, it can affect his mechanics and his control.

Can't wait to see who shows up...

Allen Craig starting at 1st, late addition replacing Adams after testing foot, batting 6th.

Interesting. The fact that he couldn't turn that hit in the 9th into a double made me think there's no way

Lester is absolutely dealing and the cards have struggled all year vs lefties

Sox go back to Boston 3-2
