If Bountygate's "unsuspending" all of the players while still blaming the players didn't do it, hopefully this will.

I mentioned that elsewhere, that if that was the 1st time he's ever hit her or any woman, he must be one really unlucky guy...

roger has made reporters his shill

INITIAL mistake. As if the new policy, holding Gordon's suspension weren't all a giant PR job

frick roger...more than anything, this makes me want him goneso. As commish, to watch that and give 2 games in light of the other player conduct suspensions for less with less and bounty gate...frick this TPOS.

I REALLY want to believe that the league didn't have this video prior to the suspension decision...I know that can't be the case though.

it was confirmed a long time ago they did. This reflects worse on the NFL, particularly TPOS Roger than it does Ray. Anyone who saw him dragging her out, knew what happened. The NFL's ruling seemed to support the SAS "provocation" tidbit.

Roger needs to go, and I'm considering not watching another down until he leaves in disgrace

You can't be serious ? "She hits him"? Hell no.

She seemed to SWAT away his hand as if she were saying 'don't touch me'.

Looks like he spit in her face before she started towards him.

She was doing the same 'don't touch me ' SWAT when she became conscious.

She didn't 'hit him' nor did she deserve to be hit like that.

Indeed. The important lesson here is that next time you want to get high, just punch your wife in the face instead.

I am serious. And can we dispense with the strawman "she did not deserve to be hit like that?" No one has said that.

If that's true, Goodell needs to be fired immediately, and the media will be calling for it shortly.

I love how smoking weed is that much more punished than this. It's an absolute joke

Goodell has turned every sports media entity into his own PR department. They'll bash him, but point that he had a "change of heart" and now we have the new domestic violence policy. This is a good issue to actually exercise personal judgment, what if she was beating him with a bat? , however, goodell has shown how excellent his personal judgment is time and time again

I don't know about that. He created his domestic policy because he got raked over the coals by the media. That's the only reason.

If Rice gets suspended for 8 games at least from the onset of this, the media probably pats him on the back then and there's no policy.

What's sad is he has to use backlash from the media to create stricter penalties instead of doing it on his own like a grownup, but let's uphold Gordon's year-long suspension because he smokes weed. I could be wrong but I don't think Gordon has harmed anyone with his actions.

Goodell is reaching Worst Sports Commissioner level

goodell is the worst commish. He hasn't done anything to make the NFL stronger, better, etc. He's helped shield them from lawsuits that didn't have any merit to begin with. big whoop.

the reason the league is making money hand over fist right now is because of paul Tagliabue...the reason the league will be on the decline when the next commish takes over is because of roger goodell

So that gives him the right to hit her?

You are looking at this from a moral standpoint which not everyone possesses.

RR should be suspended for an entire year while he spends time in jail and performs community service at Women's Shelters throughout the Baltimore area.

You called this young lady trash & lied or are either blind when you claimed she 'hit him' . She did not hit him ,but smacked his hand away as if she were saying 'don't touch me'.

I am serious You need to get your damn eyes checked or stop lying about her hitting him.

She did not hit him & he actually seems to spit in her face(accidentally or purposely) & she perhaps prepares to shove /hit him or maybe yell in his face before being knocked out.

She has nice thighs.

Goodell is in some trouble.

NFL players are protected by a union. Players who previously got in trouble for domestic violence had the same 2 game suspension. It's out of Goodell's hands and nothing will change until the NFL and NFLPA agree to new terms.

The NFLPA knows protecting Rice and other abusers will damage their image. The NFL wants to protect the shield. Changes are coming but its going to take some time...

Not too sure this is a battered woman situation. She hits him before they get in the elevator and it looks like she was coming after him after the first hit in the elevator.
Jesus christ. She barely touches him in the shoulder outside the elevator. Then the POS Rice spits on her so she comes towards her and he knocks her out

Any chance Roger goes back and issues an 8 game suspension on Rice?
