Soccer - first year it feels more important than football.
Football - Roger is destroying
Baseball - Go Stros
Basketball
Hockey - Eh?

There are only 4 major sport leagues here in the U.S., and soccer isn't one of them so shouldn't even be in the discussion.

He didn't say here in the us. and hockey lol

Yeah didn't necessarily mean US only. MLS obviously isn't there yet but for a league that's barely 20 years old they aren't doing so bad.

Professional sports only:
1) NBA - My NBA obsession is real
2) Soccer - Been quickly moving up the ranks over the years and once Atlanta United starts playing it may be 1B for me

3) NFL - My interest has really fallen off since I stopped playing fantasy. Mariota has me caring a bit more, but I'm far from where I used to be where I would watch a shite load of preseason games just because it was football. After becoming such a big soccer fan the constant breaks for commercials and flags isn't helping

4) NHL - Enjoy the playoffs

5) MLB - Bores me like crazy

CFB would probably be 2B for me and CBB would probably be 4th.

1 and 2 are set for me. I like how fast pace hockey is and how the offenses set up plays similar to lacrosse.
I like soccer when the world cup is on but don't follow it any other time.

I haven't voluntarily watch a dribble of basketball in a long time

This is my issue with Basketball/Baseball/Hockey. With so many regular season games it feels like you never have a big game atmosphere until the playoffs.

Well I(and many others) can tell you that this is BS as far as the NBA is concerned even just by last season.

1. the Saints are such a cultural event in NOLA and it drives interest in the rest of the NFL

2. not quite the event for everybody that the Saints are, but the Pelicans especially the next few years will have late season games almost feeling like that

3. NOLA MLB fandom is kind of split between all of the bandwagon teams... but the fans do exist. we love our baseball

4. NOLA deserves higher profile soccer than the Jesters which is marketed to everyone, not just the niche Hispanics or the niche Lakeview and Northshore soccer moms. Shoot, bring some name European clubs to the Dome or even an international lol, even two non-US teams if they have to.

5. Is there any combination of city and sport that knows less that each other exist than NOLA and hockey? cmon, throw us an exhibition game in the SKC one of these days

I guess what i should have said is that regular season games in those sports just don't really do it for me.

I'm from Baltimore and nominally a Ravens fan. When they won their last Super Bowl, I didn't even buy a T-shirt. I love college, but the NFL is just devoid of personality. It's just so bland.

The Ravens have always felt especially bland to me, even for NFL. Not sure why.

I like baseball especially now that it is so easy to follow player development in the minors.

They also have the right number of playoff teams - you don't win the div, sure you can get in but then you could be out in one game and then you have to face the best team in the league with your best pitcher not throwing until the 4th game of the series.

I still like the NFL but the hype is tiresome.

don't care about the others.

CFB may be #1 but the season is too short.
