Even CBS put UL-Lafayette. Didn't even put Louisiana in the name at all.

then maybe you should call them ULL like everyone else does. you aren't louisiana. stop trying to make Louisiana happen.

The LSU fans who cry and make such a big deal about this are idiots and make the rest of us look stupid.

This thread is already confusing enough - so why introduce Louisville? ...though they do have a great college sports program.

Think I'd like where we landed if football, basketball, and baseball were the only ones included.

Really not even referring to ULL more or less just the list with the big three.

There is no source, it's a ranking system.

Duke at #18 despite 3 championships? Flawed.

Not really football team lost their bowl game to a team that finished tied with Vandy for 7th place in the SEC.

Both basketball teams lost in the 2nd round of the tourney.

Baseball team didn't make the NCAA tourney.

Care to offer some thoughts on the idea of Louisiana being the 34th best sports program in the nation?

Really happy for the Cajuns, as I grew up in Lafayette.

I don't understand why the sports were equally weighted. Football should not be weighted the same as women's water polo.

Congrats Cajuns. It's about time the university starts pouring more money into its athletics and it's definitely showing

*SERIOUS QUESTION*

Why are the people in Monroe smart enough to call their school by it's correct name, but the people in Lafayette are not?

Is saying "Lafayette" or "L" after the UL so hard to do????

They have no problems saying "Monroe" or "M" after the UL up there.

Are they smarter???

I don't think there is anything holding back the Cajuns from being the clear #2 athletic program in the state. The money and passion are starting to correct the facilities.

For the national recognition and to be taken seriously, the Cajuns HAVE to find a way out of the SBC.

Side note - I really liked the old USL name.
