Angela should trade him for ARod.... He can DH

This may be the only thing for him to return to his old levels. He has been playing hurt for a year and a half.

what's the return on A-Rod's second Yankee contract?

i never understood that contract .. i looked at him as being on the downside of his career when the Cards won the 2011 title ..

He'll never go back to those levels. He's probably 35 or 36 years old.

Biggest problem with baseball contracts... Reward completely on past performance rather than on future potential when there will be diminishing returns (no matter how good someone has been).

I did love the "Well, the Cards offense will only go down hill from here" when he signed with the Angels.

It is funny that the Cards haven't skipped a beat without him and a decent Angels team before his arrival has arguably gotten worse ..

They have Albert Pujols and Josh Hamilton locked up through 2017 and 2021 and their farm system sucks. They might waste the awesomeness of Mike Trout.

I am not happy to hear this but I can't say it makes me real upset either

I'm sorry for him at some small level but the larger part of me is just happy the Cardinals didn't agree to that ridiculous contract.
Ten years is asinine. Five years is the longest any contract should ever go and even then you should hold your breath as the team obligated to pay de man his moneey

After this season, Pujols will have eight years and $212 million remaining on his contract with the Angels. In his first 253 games in Los Angeles, he’s batted .275 with 47 home runs and 169 RBI.

I mean, look at A-Rod's stupid fricking deal .. How did that one work for everybody ? It's not like the Angels didn't have some past precence league wide to at least make them stop and think about that dumb decision .. And only God knows how Pujols really is ..
