Courageous my arse.
The courageous ones will be the players who will speak their minds and not give in to the gay terrorist and their henchmen in the media (yes, this mean you, ESPN).
There was a far-left slanted Yahoo! piece (yeah, go figure ) where the author talked about how he came out in August and none of his teammates had any problems with it.
Do you really believe this?
Now, let's pretend that we live in Fantasyland and assume that these players didn't have their scholarships threatened. These players saw exactly what happened to professional players who dare to say that they disagree with the "gay lifestyle" and how they don't think that it's "normal". These players were ostracized and terrorized for just stating what they believe -- something that the vast majority of the world has believed up until the last 10 years -- including the far, far, far, far left's Dear Leader.
It will be the same way in the NFL -- say a word and you will be f'ing terrorized.
So, if you want to talk about courage .....
I think you took what I was saying out of context. (If you were quoting me)

Some of you would've downplayed Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier in 1947.
There are countless institutions in this country that straight white males have dominated for decades, professional sports is one of them.
It's difficult to see, from a straight white male perspective, how many obstacles non-straight white males have in this country.
Michael Sam clearly faces a barrier, preventing him getting the same fair shake that straight NFL players get. It's a similar barrier that Jackie Robinson faced that prevented blacks from getting the same fair shake that whites got. This is a step in eradicating a barrier that millions of Americans face, and that's why the guy is courageous and worth giving credit to.

That's because this country was started by the white man, obviously white men will be the head of many institutions. If a white man goes over to Africa, black men will be in majority control. Same as if a white man goes over to China, Asian men will have majority control. Is that hard to understand? It's just the way it is.
IMO, people that are down playing this instance aren't people you need to worry about. They are simply saying it's not that big of a deal and want Sam to be seen and treated just like every other NFL player.
The people that are blowing this story up into a huge deal are just magnifying the fact that he is "different" or is a minority. Minorities always want to be treated as "equal" when at the same time they want people to celebrate them and bring more attention to him. If gays want to be seen as equal then all they should want was him to come out and announce it, people applaud him, and that's it
