no his feet move forward slightly to let him jump backwards. just watch the damn film. the dude jumps backwards and at the same times makes himself skinny and braces for impact.

His momentum wouldn't carry him forward if he was trying to jump backwards

When you jump up do you go down first?

You have to plant your foot footward to move backward. Try planting your foot backward to move backward.

Another example: When you cut to the left you plant your foot to the right.

When you jump backwards do you end up ahead of where you started your jump from?

so basically you've never had to react in a split second and jump backwards. because if you had you would know that you take a quit bunny step forward to allow yourself to jump backwards. i feel like i shouldnt have to explain that.

$0 fine.

He's running behind the first line of sideline players. I don't care how common it is that this happens on punts.

I think he was preparing to jump backwards but had to protect himself, so he lowered his shoulder.

Holy shite dude. He is looking right at the Seahawks player. He moves his right leg forward and puts his shoulder into the Seahawks player. His momentum then takes his body forward. At no point is he trying to go backwards.

You're right man. It makes perfect sense that the guy on the sidelines in sweats was trying to body check the guy running at him in full pads.

First off, quit bitching your team won.

Second, the Alosi thing was WAY different. They were standing on the edge of the white line, if not on it. This cat was WAY outside the field of play. I would venture to say nothing will happen to this guy.

Here is a vine video that shows more of the play.

Jeremy Lane is listed as 6' 190. He also doesn't appear to be wearing much padding. He's also lost his momentum after getting blocked into the sideline, so it's not like he is running full speed either.
