What do you mean it didn't work out? They became much better with him... they just weren't good enough.

He's being shopped because he's getting older, has had injuries, and he will be a free agent at the end of the season.

They made it to the WCF last year after being gutted by injuries. If GS wasn't a ridiculously dominant team they may have beaten the (also injury ravaged) Cavs for a NBA title.

Morley pulled that off without lucking into a franchise player in a draft. He essentially created a contender out of nothing, which I don't think any other contender besides maybe San Antonio can claim. It is probably time to try something new, but Morey deserves credit not scorn for these past few years.

Well obviously. I mean, if the team was doing great then they wouldn't want to mess with the chemistry by trading him.

But because they obviously need to make some changes, it makes it an easy decision to try to shed his $24 million dollar contract and try to get something for him before he becomes a free agent at the end of the season.

I agree. I don't know why anyone would blame Morey.

He built a WCF team last year and essentially they brought the same team back this season. It's not his fault that the players haven't lived up to their end of the bargain. They've already proven last year that they can win with this group of players.

So it's not Morey's fault that they aren't winning this year.

Can anyone think of a team that would take on Dwight's expiring $24 million dollar contract?

Which team would be a prime candidate? Considering Dwight isn't worth that $24 million, he will only be a rental for the rest of the season, and the team would have to give up significant assets to match salaries, then which team would do that?

I can't think of any solutions.

Oh in addition to bringing nearly his entire WCF team back he acquired Ty Lawson for basically nothing. Lawson didn't work out, but you really can't argue with trying when you paid nothing for him. He also got Josh Smith for absolutely nothing with the Clips paying part of his salary this season.

His moves from beginning to end have been solid. He can't control Harden's motivation or Howard being whiny.

Asik, Ryno and a 1st rd pick will get it done. We've seen what kind of production you can get out of Asik in Houston's system. He ain't Dwight but he's pretty damn solid. Good enough to lead Demps into saying he was the 4th best center in the league.

Why doesn't Dwight want to be a part of the rockets championship culture?

you can't find one post by anyone who said they'd win the title this year. rockets fanbase on MSB is probably the most knowledgeable and to a slightly lesser extent level headed of any team on MSBs fanbase.

rest assured Howard didn't ask to be traded, this is Houston treating their players like humans and not assets and giving dwight a better chance to be the player he wants to be i.e. find someone who will feed him in the post
