If UL Lafayette and Georgia Southern win the rest of their conference games, both schools will be undefeated in conference play. How is that possible you might ask. This year, the Sunbelt has 11 schools in the conference and play an 8 game conference schedule. That leaves each team not playing two schools and UL Lafayette and Georgia Southern do not play each other. Georgia Southern has 2 games in conference play left, Texas State and UL Monroe, both of which have a losing record. UL Lafayette has 4, New Mexico St., UL Monroe, Appalachian St., and Troy, all of which have a losing record as well. If they finish the season undefeated in conference play, they will most likely share the championship, which is the current policy. But wouldn't it be cool if the Sunbelt had a championship game? I believe the rule in the NCAA for a conference to have a championship game is that the conference has to have 12 or more teams (I think), but if this scenario plays out, a championship game would be best for business.

Does the winner of the Belt go to the NOLA bowl auto?

I know GSU is ineligible for a bowl game this year, so how many teams will be bowl eligible?

well, the New Orleans bowl could pit ULL vs Georgia Southern and have both teams put their half of the title on the line.

What was the league's non conference record, something like 6-38?

Not really. Well, I mean, it would probably be about as cool as the SWAC or MAC championship games...

Maybe in a normal year, but Georgia Southern and Appalachian St are ineligible to participate in bowls this year as they transition to full FBS status.

The empty stadium would definitely be cool

Cajuns will probably run the table and still not win an outright conference title
