It was not the Leonard injury. I heard a local meatball radio host discussing this and I agreed. The Warriors went on a 16-0 run after the Leonard injury until Pop called a timeout. Who the hell lets a 16-0 run happen without calling a TO. He should have called it after it went 8-0 and at the latest 10-0

Do you know who knows more about coaching in the NBA than Pop? Your local meatball radio host.

You think 1 timeout was more crucial than losing a top 5 player?

I remember Phil Jackson would let similar runs happen before calling TOs. So to answer your question, HOF coaches.

You gonna learn in this thread that when Spurs win it's bc of pop and when they lose pop is not the one to blame

Not a coach in the league would agree. Educate yourself.

Timeouts accomplish nothing.

There's no such thing as momentum.

Golden State is just a much better team than a Leonardless Spurs team.

That is just dumb. Sports are all momentum. And you know how you try to kill momentum? timeouts

I know we all likenour advanced stats and stuff but momentum is a very real thing. And GS is one of those rare teams that consistently swings it in their favor as quickly as they do.

I do think that even if Pop calls a timeout half way through the run though they still wind up losing without KL

While maybe true, it wouldn't have stopped them from winning either way

It's been so long since I read Scorecasting.

I know it definitely debunked the theory of a player with the "hot hand" but didn't it also debunk the momentum theory as well, does anyone recall?

Lol you think calling a timeout just magically erases a run?
