And he has a point.

Scheduling FCS teams is a joke in a season when you only get ~12 games

I got a laugh out of that line.

I do hate the chicken scratch scheduling that results in teams playing Presbyterian in November of football season. I mean, Presbyterian? In November. Really?

I completely agree with him. I was just talking to rocket31 about this the other day.

To be fair, the Mississippi schools are usually just praying for bowl eligibility at this point in the year, so I understand them adding a cupcake late in the season to ensure they get there.

I'm all for Notre Dame getting into the Final Four. Easy win for whichever SEC team they get matched up with.

I thought they only scheduled Navy? And Navy is respectable, imo. Any team that rushes for almost 400 yards per game every single year gets props in my book.

He has a valid point about fcs
On the flip side join a conference, none of this half in half out commotion
You want the ACC join it and play in ACC title game
Notre Dame is adding some SEC games as well, good for them

ND plays only 1 service academy, Navy. Not sure why people seem to think they play them all annually.

Not to mention Navy is solid every year.

Agreed. Navy is a pain for any team to play. OSU has struggled against them twice. And South Carolina needed a 4th quarter comeback (and a 200 yard game from Lattimore) to beat them 24-21 in 2011.

Can you point me to some top schools who are playing multiple FCS teams this year? rocket used the plural.

Most are playing one, just like ND's playing one of the Service Academies.

Navy's been shite for the vast majority of the last few decades. Do you forget how recently ND's massive streak against them ended?

Can you name at least one SEC school for me that isn't playing at least two FCS teams this year? I can't remember who is FCS or not anymore.
