Clemson: 11-0. Very simple. As long as Clemson doesn't lose any of their next 2 games, they're in.

Alabama: 10-1. Very simple. Beat Auburn and Florida.

Iowa 11-0. Very simple. Beat Nebraska and the East champion. Could still get in with a loss to Nebraska, but not a loss in Indy.

Notre Dame 10-1. Beat Stanford and they're in.

Michigan State 10-1. Beat Penn State and Iowa and they're in.

Ohio State 10-1. Must beat Michigan and hope Michigan State loses to Penn State, then must beat Iowa.

Florida 10-1. Beat Florida State and Alabama and they're in. Not so simple.

Oklahoma 10-1. For Oklahoma to get in, assuming they beat Oklahoma State, one of 3 things needs to happen: Notre Dame has to lose to Stanford, Alabama has to lose to Auburn, or Clemson has to lose to North Carolina. A 1-loss Big 10 champion gets in over them. Notre Dame and Oklahoma's common opponent is Texas, whom Notre Dame beat 38-3 and Oklahoma lost to 24-17

Oklahoma State 10-1/Baylor 10-1. See Oklahoma; assuming they win out.

North Carolina 10-1. Unfortunately, North Carolina's loss to South Carolina will keep them out even if they beat Clemson. It's not like Ohio State's loss to Virginia Tech, who still went 6-6. South Carolina is BAD this year.

These two are going to fighting for the last spot. I'm not sure who they will choose.

Better wins are more valuable than quality losses. Notre Dame has the best loss in the country but Oklahoma has 3 better wins (assuming both win this weekend). The committee has shown time and time they way good losses more than good wins.

They beat Baylor and TCU.

Those are good wins if you weren't paying attention and didn't realize that both teams were without their best players at QB at WR. That matters a lot.

Not sure that they have a 3rd good win. A mediocre Tennessee?

TCU will likely not be in the top 25 this week (itll be close)

Temple will likely jump into the 25 (they smashed #21 Memphis)

OU vs ND

1. Record. Tied with OU
2. SOS. ND wins. (going by the committees formula)
3. Head to head. N/A
4. Common opponent. ND wins.
5. Best loss. ND wins.
6. Most wins over top 25 (ND would have Navy, Temple, Stanford and maybe Pitt) - OU would have Oklahoma State, Baylor and maybe TCU).

I fail to see how OU will finish above ND if they both win out, but I guess we will see where they rank tonight

Teams who will get screwed here are ND and Oklahomeboy. If UF beats both Bama and FSU, they should get in. Knocking off the #2 team while only losing to the then #7 (or so) team in LSU should merit them a spot IMO.

TCU isn't falling out of the top 25, don't be an idiot.

OU needs Stanford to beat ND (or other more unlikely scenarios). ND controls its own destiny.

they were #18 last week and lost my friend, itll be close.

eta: the more i look at it, they will stay in it this week.

but when TCU plays Baylor - who do you root for as an OU fan?

TCU wins and they stay in top 25, but the quality of the Baylor win goes down
Baylor wins and it knocks TCU out of the top 25.

Not this week. But after they lose to Baylor they will.

Baylor, TCU, and Okie lite are all three better wins than Stanford who will be a three loss team after they lose to Notre Dame. Also they beat an ok Tennessee team. They look better, and play in an actual conference, not the mention the committee has said they will look at injuries which Notre Dame has a ton of and Oklahoma is relatively healthy assuming Mayfield comes back ok. If both win Oklahoma is getting in over Notre Dame. Sorry.

Baylor: Win out (@TCU and vs Texas)

Oklahoma State beat OU
Stanford beat OU

Does a 1 loss Iowa (loss being in the B10 championship) get in over a 1 loss Baylor?

Injury point is moot, Notre Dame lost their starting running back in the first half of the first game and Zaire was in the second game of the season. Prosise will be back in time for bowl season. Only injury that even matter is Russell and he has struggled at times a lot this year.

Dude I don't hate Notre Dame or anything like some people claim to do but they need help. They went to the wire with Boston College and Virginia, two awful teams. They beat USC, well they are gonna end the season with 4 or 5 losses. Beating Stanford would be a good win but definitely not better than Okie State or Baylor, and no worse than equal to TCU. The best thing on Notre Dames resume is a close loss to Clemson. The win against Temple means little. They are good but it's Temple, the human element knows it's Temple. All of that plus not being in a conference, and way Oklahoma is going to finish with Baylor TCU Okie State I just don't see any way Notre Dame gets in over them. But that's my opinion and that's why this is a message board so people can disagree. I guess Navy and Pitt are good feathers in their cap but the wins against teams that are top 10 teams and only won't be anymore because they lose to Oklahoma is stronger IMO.

Actually, the best win on Notre Dame's resume is Navy's only loss (who will likely be a top 15 to top 10 team when all is said and done).
