Franklin Parish, La. (KNOE 8 News) - A player at Franklin Parish High School has been seriously injured during a football game tonight. Franklin Parish Head Coach tells our Aaron Dietrich that the young man was hit during a punt return in the fourth quarter. The player went down on the field and was rushed to the emergency room. His condition is unknown at the moment, but Coach Sebren is calling it a very serious situation.

Grant Parish didn't have high school football for like 40 years because some kid broke his neck and died back in the 1930s.
