That's all you look at? Yards? Simple enough way to judge QBs.

nfl.com has Brees number 1 that year and Rivers #5. Also one qb had a 1000 yard rusher to take alot of pressure off him while the other had a 400 yard reggie bush. Please tell me you think Rivers is better than Brees. I need this laugh

You forgot about the guy he replaced and also has a SB.. Too many great QBs this era.

It's going to be tough for him unless he makes me it to a Super Bowl.. I think the fact that he was on amazing teams but could never take them to the game will hurt him overall

Rivers has a higher YPA than Rivers for the last 3 seasons. Imagine if Rivers could work with a coach like Sean Payton.

who had a 1000 yard running back? Who had the entire offense on their shoulders? Who would anyone with common sense take?

would you take the sure fire hall of famer who won a superbowl in his prime or the person who most likely wont get in the hall and chokes in the playoffs?

In 2008, I would take Rivers because he played better in 2008. I'm not really sure how many times and different ways I can say it, but I'm sure you'll figure out another way to ask the same question.

ETA: It seems we have reached the logical end of our discussion. Have a good day, sir.

so you would take the qb who was not as good who played in the worst division in football? Shows what the hell you know, absolutely nothing
