You can't form a triangle with your fingers on Twitter.

Step 1: triangle offense
Step 2: somehow acquire/draft top 5 All-time player
Step 3: profit

Top 3 teas in 3pt% are GSW, ATL, and LAC...and CLE at #5.

Percentage of FG attempts from 3 - HOU, CLE, LAC, and ATL are the top 4.

WTF is Phil talking about? Memphis, I assume? Sweet sample size!

I think he's talking about the way he won championships based on personal experience. Of his 11 championship winning teams, only two of those teams ranked in the top 10 in three pointers made and none of them finished in the top 5 in three pointers made or attempted.

2010 Lakers- 13th in three pointers made, 10th in 3PA
2009 Lakers- 17th in three pointers made, 15th in 3PA
2002 Lakers- 6th in three pointers made, 7th in 3PA
2001 Lakers- 11th in three pointers made, 9th in 3PA
2000 Lakers- 18th in three pointers made, 17th in 3PA
1998 Bulls- 17th in three pointers made, 14th in 3PA
1997 Bulls- 12th in three pointers made, 11th in 3PA
1996 Bulls- 10th in three pointers made, 15th in 3PA
1993 Bulls- 15th in three pointers made, 16th in 3PA
1992 Bulls- 21st in three pointers made, 21st in 3PA
1991 Bulls- 16th in three pointers made, 22nd in 3PA

Spurs hitting half their threes in last year's Finals didn't help.

I would say their defense played just as big of a role. After all, the Spurs defensive rating was ranked higher than their offensive rating last season. Also, every team they played in the playoffs outside of the Mavericks were held well below their regular season average in scoring.

Well you definitely have to do more than one thing well to win a title.

No he isn't. He was known for his ability to manage players than X's and O's. Tex Winter is known as the brains behind the operation.

Oh gimme a frickin break. This man has 11 NBA Titles. Calling him anything other than one of the greatest coaches of all time in any sport is nothing short of complete bullshite. Give the guy his due, like him or not.
