don't understand why people up vote stories about tragedies. Or like them on Facebook. Who likes this stuff?

Let's review...

Sad to hear it ended that way.

His dad went missing a couple of weeks ago. Billy asked for help finding him in a post round interview. He was found in Texas and said he was ok, but didn't say why he was there. Unfortunately this is the result.

I see the TD "upvote" as an agreement of a post, not a Facebook "Like" even though many consider it the same. I don't. What I bolded is what I think most are in agreement with and not necessarily liking the result(suicide news).

I didn't downvote, but people commit suicide every day and this is a pretty much unknown athlete.
This one is a bit of a bid deal. It isn't everyday that we follow a bizarre story...that ends in a suicide. Hurley was literally crying and asking for people to help find his dad on national TV a couple weeks ago. He found out that they found him his Texas or wherever, and now we find out that the guy went and killed himself. It's a pretty crazy story.

People who watch golf know the story. If you don't watch it, don't enter the thread.

i watch every tournament every weekend and know who Billy Hurley Jr is, and have zero clue as to what "the story" is.

If you do watch every weekend, then you would know. I don't watch every weekend, but have watched on and off the last month or so and saw how much coverage this story got.

So, I doubt your claim.

Guys, guys.....let's not bicker and argue over who knows who.

Today is supposed to be a happy occasion.

Eldrick's in his last competitive round in his 30's at a major today.
