if lebron is 100% committed to leaving, cavs' best interest is to engage in a trade for Lakers and get value. Also as part of mutual respect between cavs and lebron, honesty and long term vision should in sorts be best interest of both of parting now.

Who would LAL give up, and more importantly, why would they do that if he's coming next season for nothing?

a year of lebron now. Starting continuity now. you get lebron as soon as possible.

LBJ For Deng Brewer and Randle makes a successful trade.

A trip to the finals is basically a guarantee for him in the east, much harder task in the west. He will definitely have to have some stats joining; George and westbrook perhaps

Peter Vecsey: Lebron James is 100% going to the Lakers
Even if LeBron is 100% certain that he wants to go to the Lakers next year at this moment in time, the likelihood that this occurs is less than 100% given all of the unknown future possibilities. And I doubt he's 100% certain of anything right now.

So as we get further and further from Lebron himself, and insight into his views, the more hackish a statement like this becomes, closer to Skip Bayless or Peej hot takes than truly credible insight and analysis. In this case, this is closer to Skip and Peej and likely based on the same attention seeking.
