I think people are way too hard on Monty. He is having to make some tough decisions. It's not like he's holding an Xbox controller.

Watching guys like Barbosa just reminds me of how ridiculous it was that the Suns never made the finals in the mid 2000s. Nash, Stoudemire, Marion, Barbosajust, Diaw, Bell, James Jones, Kurt Thomas. Man that team was so freaking loaded.

Monty is really good coming out of timeouts and the players seem to like him. That being said, his late game coaching has been really atrocious all year in every game I've watched.

I remember they were terrible defensively, but they did have a ton of talent.
And watching Davis he has a lot of defensive skill, but such a long way to go as a complete defender.

Obviously, I think those Suns teams were middle of the pack defensively, though. Not as bad as most thought at the time, because pace wasn't taken into consideration back then.

This game has been so awesome. Hopefully, the second half can live up to the first. I hate that I started the game thread. I waited like 3 minutes into the game, but nobody started one. Updating the scores is the worst.

Yeah. Agree. It's crazy that it took people so long to value per possession defense. Then you had the Rockets back then allowing like 87 ppg and scoring 90.
