It's just lame as hell to say "yeah, well he or she is a lot better than you." That presupposes the OP wanting to have someone as qualified as him.
Mendoza, being a softball player, just spent a minute analyzing Kershaw's legkick. That's some sick analysis.
But the bottom line is that sports have traditionally been in the domain of men. It sounds weird and forced to have a woman trying to analyze the game.

I'm conflicted here. On one hand you sound like your issue is that she is a woman and can't possibly understand this complex game that only you mastered by overthrowing kids in high school for 16 years.
On the other hand people in softball circles don't like her on TV either.

Baseball and softball are not the same. Different swing, different throwing motion, different pitching, different strategy, etc.
To the lay person it looks similar, but a softball player does not have nearly the same experience as a former baseball player because it is two different games.
