Even if it's only half as good as their first fight it will be fun to watch.

Cut on Ortiz's head is nasty.

Two washed up bums. Not interested.

But hey, Al Haymon is giving us free boxing.....

And on Showtime, more uninteresting fights given to us by Haymon. Between HBO's weak arse schedule thanks to rumored budget cuts and Haymon's PBC nonsense, this year's televised boxing schedule is some smelly garbage.

What's your beef with Haymon/PBC? The showtime card is solid and the two winners will unify 168 later this year.

I can write an essay on what's wrong with Haymon/PBC.

Lucian Bute has no business being in title fights these days. He lost to DeGale in his last fight and now he's headlining another card and fighting for another title. What's funny is the last guy to beat him, DeGale, is in the co-feature slot. WTF? In Bute's last three meaningful fights, he's 0-3 and got stopped by Froch.

Again, NO business headlining fight cards on premium networks.

What were your thoughts on last weekends "amazing" HBO card?

I can agree that Bute is not what he once was, but he's ranked in the top 10(7) and he has a name. Gilberto Ramirez just fought Arthur Abraham. Jack has already beaten Dirrell and Grooves. All things considered, Jack vs Bute is a good fight.

That card is a prime example of what I'm talking about. Golovkin was like an 80-1 favorite or something. Why is that crap headlining premium tv boxing? Now Chocolatito-Arroyo was a very solid co-feature fight. No problem with that.

The problem these days is we're paying extra $ to see tune-ups and getting the fights we really wanna see or "big fights" we didn't ask for on PPV. It's a really big F U to the boxing fans everywhere. That goes for both HBO and Showtime.

As much as I hate on Haymon, Bob Arum, De La Hoya and Tom Loeffler are just as much to blame for this problem. Look at the headlining fights we've gotten on HBO this year: Golovkin-Wade, Ward-Barrera, Ortiz-Thompson, Crawford-Lundy and I'll go ahead and throw in Kovalev-Pascal 2....no one asked for that rematch.

But then look at HBO's PPV schedule: Pacquiao-Bradley 3 (no on asked for this), Canelo-Khan (no one asked for this) and now it looks like Miguel Cotto and Terence Crawford will be on PPV as well this summer. And Crawford looks like he's fighting Postol and Cotto was wanting to fight Rios but was turned down. WTF is this garbage? No one wants to see these fights, except Crawford-Postol but NOT on freaking PPV. What's really F'd up is the undercard PPV fights are better than the ones we're getting on HBO.

And Showtime's schedule is just as bad, if not worse, but there have been so many bad fights on that network this year I don't feel like mentioning them.
