Pay every team member $30k per season with incentives for goals if stars don’t want it go elsewhere.

Only thing worse than not paying anyone anything is paying a few stars big money and everyone else getting pennies

200 per week should be enough

to pay for extra life expenses, travel home, gas, dating, out to eat, parking ticket, etc

200 per week is 71 dollars per day

I mean if they can't get by on that extra dough

then they have issues

it's 71 per day more than they get now and every player before them in the history of football

but I agree, everyone gets the same

this is about being student first...

the issue is what scholarships don't cover that poor kids need to get by...

71 per day or 200 per week accomplishes this

it's not ridiculous like 30k grand

I mean young school teachers make that...

30 grand for 85 or 105?

30 grand for each scholarship player would be 2.5 million dollars!

I mean what the heck man, that's what scholarships cost the university each year...30 grand

you're nuts

out of hand nuts

all of this is horrible situation, it must reeled in this summer...

coaches better demand it...or the end is near

In todays cfb that seems like a great way to amass 85 scholarship role players.

Stars want market value. Role players don’t need $30k

I don’t know what the answer to this problem is, but I can tell you that this isn’t it.

Which would still be just a quarter of what the head coach makes.

Irrelevant statement. Opinions about what “should be enough” are worthless in this situation. Takes what it takes

they only play and practice 3 days a week?
I would be okay with an initial upfront signing amount and then incentive bonuses for performance.

Accomplishes the same goal but you would see more effort.

I'm fine with players making money. Good money even. But this is going to destroy any sense of parity this sport has left.

Same reason Pro teams have salary caps. Big money schools will dominate. See aTm in the very first year with NIL

You’re just not looking at it through the eyes of eighteen year old athletes with different backgrounds, family, and values. Some will let the job on the field do the talking, others won’t stop talking. A flat rate will be offensive to some.

yeah

200 a week

28.5 per day

do you think that's reasonable, yes or no?

Again I repeat, what you think is “reasonable”’is irrelevant. The only thing that matters is what the competition will pay for that player.

I am not saying you have to like or agree with it.

But will we get some real stars for that?

We better figure out what others are paying.

It's a meat market now.

I heard the Texas o-line gets $50k/year each in NIL deals.
