It's not too late for us to fire Therrien and bring the prodigal son home to Montreal

Wow!! That is surprising.

The linked article says he didn't think he had enough input in player personnel decisions.

The Avs sure did fall flat these last few seasons, but he seemed like a good coach.

May be more about not having enough say in personnel decisions than anything, which I can't blame him with how poor the Avs have been for a decade.

His first year was a massive overachievement. Things went completely the other way after that.

Mr Spaceley to the rescue!!

Unless you want 10 years of mediocrity after his tenure. But his two years will be entertaining to say the least.

And I'd accept Keenan in Montreal it's gotten that bad.

Definitely overachieved his first year but team should have made playoffs last year even with injuries. I would have liked to see him stick around longer. Wonder what this means for Joe Sakic in the front office. I grew up watching Sakic and Roy so it would be sad to see them come back to the club then leave so quickly. It's been a bad decade and now approaching a bad 15 years for my Avs...

Almost 100% due to Varly's performance that year.
